We were recommended this by another traveler and I have to say it was an essential item especially when you are navigating the train and planning your trips. It saves you having to find WIFI in shops etc. We had a strong signal constantly on our 16 day trip ( on land but not out at sea).
The ordering system was easy to complete, it was affordable and if we had any issues there is an email address that allows you to contact them.

We used the wifi for our 2 weeks trip of Japan. Connection is stable and quick and we had no issue at all even with 4 devices connected at the same time. Battery lasts for 1 day, all day long if you remember to charge it during the night. We never used the power bank. Also, it is super convenient as we had it delivered at the hotel upon our arrival and then we shipped from the airport (in Haneda there's a post office and they took care of it as the postbox was full).
