Traveling abroad can be fun, but daunting at times. Traveling for work to a different country has more opportunity for problems with communication.

Having this Wi-Fi Hotspot made my visit to Japan more enjoyable and allowed me to complete my reports in a timely manner. On my off time I was able to stay linked into the internet to allow Translation/Map Location/Online Review/Yen to Dollar/Wi-Fi Calling and all other needs.

But wait can you use your phone for international usage? Yes but that could be a larger cost to use overseas providers tower for your tie in communication.

Pros:

Cons:
- Heats up quick if stored in poor ventilated area. (not really a big deal if you know what you are doing)

I rent the pocket wifi for 14 days on JapanWireless website for our vacation.

When we arrived at Haneda airport, everything was ready and we only needed to confirm our identities.

For the whole two weeks we had amazing coverage, and the wifi was even better than our hotel wifi, so we ended up only using the pocket wifi. It allowed us 5 devices and we made full use of that!

We traveled around Yokohama/Central Tokyo and never had any issues with connectivity.

By the end of the travel, returning it was a piece of cake. Simply put the device and all accessories into the return package that is included when you pick it up, then throw it into any post box (there should always be multiple at any of the airports and terminals, consult airport map for directions).
