Price was really affordable, a lot cheaper than buying service via my American provider T-Mobile.

It is ideal for families because you can all connect to the same device and not need to pay for separate sims. (Although if you plan on spending time separated then you should get more than one).

Personally for us tmobiles 5GB of free data was enough for the times we were apart and then we used the pocket WiFi while together.

The instructions were clear. The equipment worked and was easy to return. Would use again.

I would give it 4/5 stars because sometime I got disconnected for no reason and ended up to restart the device. Fast service, easy to pick up and return. Would do business with them again for future trips in Japan

Our pocket wifi we initially received at our Tokyo hotel was not keeping it's charge so we took it back to the office and a lovely young Australian man was very polite and helpful in replacing it immediately and the new one worked perfectly and even though we spent a lot of time in rural areas we always had perfect reception. We used the Japan Wireless pocket WiFi for 3 weeks all over Japan, the service and reception was brilliant. Super fast WiFi and we are heavy data users and no issues all.

Having to get around places these days requires digital access.
While for the most they were dependable...there seems to be a bit of room for improvement.
But! I'm not going to blame their services for this.
I feel that part of the problem has to do with my security settings for apps like Google.
Having to navigate with Google Maps proved to be challenging at times.
Signal for the wifi was good and so glad to have it.
Battery life was great for 8 hours walking around, had to charge after, but was very nice to have that.

I definitely recommend going with them because their device was new, reliable, and fit our budget for the 16 days traveling throughout Japan.
I honestly have zero complaints.
