The Japan Wireless mobile wifi works extremely well. Once you have the unit connected to you mobile devices forget about looking for wifi, worrying about downloading speeds or excess data charges. Using your mobiles devices becomes a seemless exercise. FaceTime calls can be made just about anywhere. The service from Japan Wireless was top notch. Highly recommended.

We availed of the Japan Wireless pocket WIFI duing our recent trip to Japan. The pickup and dropoff service was great. The unit was simple to use and the powerbank provided very useful. Could not fault the service - we never had a problem with connectivity etc.
The only issue I would raise (which isn't necessarily a problem) but just be aware that the WIFI device does get quite hot.
Highly recommend using this pocket wifi.

I got one of these for 2 weeks during my last trip to Japan. It made everything so much easier! I had no problem connecting and staying connected, although my sister had some issues with the wireless unit she rented towards the end of the trip where she kept having to input the password and was getting kicked out (this was toward the end of the trip, and she was able to eventually to reconnect, it was just a little inconvenient for her).

This saved me the hassle of having to try and jump on free hotel or coffee shop wifi, and made staying in touch with the rest of my group very easy. And the price was very reasonable, especially compared to some of the other units I saw. The unit stayed charged for a long time (it would last me an entire day of moderate usage, so if I left at like 9am, and came back at 10 or 11 at night, there would still be at least 20 or 30% battery left, and this was without having to dip into the battery pack they gave!)

We had the Wi-fi pocket for 2 weeks, and it work great in all locations we went to.

First class service on pick up/drop off and it was just so good to have constant web access when travelling.

A great asset to have while travelling in japan the unit was delivered to our hotel in advance and was easy set up . To return package was placed in self addressed pack and placed In desired place of return. A great unit thank you
