Ordered the premium WiFi about 2 weeks before my trip and had it delivered to my first hotel in Tokyo.
Device gave 4 (but sometimes 8) of us Internet access when out and about, on trains, in hotels, in the stadium.
Completely low hassle. Great speeds - playing games, streaming live TV, researching routes...all at the same time. Then just posted it back at the airport.

At less than £50 for 7days it saved me a fortune on roaming charges and kept everyone connected and happy.

With this baby in your pocket you're connected. I visit Japan on short trips 1-3 times every year and as a non-resident getting a local phone for data connectivity is not an option. Japan Wireless service has always been reliable, hassle-free and the devices have been solid, working pieces.
