Actually received this earlier than expected, and have used this throughout my trip. Battery life is enough for an entire day of activities, and internet connection was mostly consistent. Instructions on how to return the unit is also easy and well explained

Worked great wherever we went

Very easy to use this service. The WiFi hotspot worked really well all over Tokyo. The return was very easy and the instructions were also excellent. I mossed The window of time to pick up my unit at the airport so they sent it to my hotel. Very kind and smart.

Excellent service, optimal coverage

Pocket wifi in Japan is the way to go. (Note that we learned from a number of travellers were not able to obtain SIM cards for their mobiles while in Japan - simply unavailable - so we were so happy to have the pocket wifi). We found Japan Wireless unlimited wifi unbelievably convenient. Always had wifi. Especially great for more than one person since all can connect. Highly recommended.

Japan Wireless is so convinient when you need data in Japan. Easy to access and make a transaction with them. Until next time when I comeback in Japan.

We picked up the device at Narita. It looked like an older version, no screen with info, just a few leds to show charge level. But it connected and worked. Battery life was not great, about 4 - 5 hours only, but the package contained a charge battery. During our days in the Alps at Tsumago and Magome we had no connection at all, we contacted customer service as we thought the device was malfunctioning. CS responded very quickly. But when we got out of the Alps, connection was restored, so no need to return the device. Overall satisfactory, but be aware there are places where there is no connection.
