This was a wonderful way to use our phones overseas and have constant internet access. The signal was excellent everywhere we went in Yokohama and Tokyo. Pick-up and drop-off of the hotspot were a breeze.
Wifi was waiting at the hotel when we arrived and was easy to return at the airport. For the most part, it worked really well. There were 2-3 days out of 17 that we were unable to use it. The reset in the instructions did not work, but I was able to correct the issue on my own by removing and then reinserting the battery. Also, the backup battery supplied did not hold a charge and the unit itself drains pretty quickly. It would fully drain by early evening without a backup battery, so fortunately we had brought one of our own backups, which we used instead of the one supplied after getting stuck with no charge one night. -1 star for those issues, but otherwise was very happy with the service. This is a must-have item for travel in Japan.
It was a blessing to have this pocket modem during my trip. My only complain is that it would lose charge in the middle of the day and U would have to find a place to recharge it.

It was almost effortless to get some wifi during our trip to Japan with JW. The staffs were very helpful when our flight landed after their closing hour. 100% recommended!
I know this company from a Dutch blog, after seeing a Dutch traveling show. Didn’t realise that I’d need one till then. Read some reviews and it convinced me to give it a try. It was a good price as well and the service is outstanding. The router includes a portable charger, charger and a nice little bag. The router itself is very small, it fits anywhere. The connection was great too. Definitely recommend Japan wireless to anyone travelling to Japan.
