We travelled from Hokkaido to Tokyo to Hakone to Kyoto and we had wifi all the time. It’s totally worth it, we’re recommending it to friends who are visiting Japan.

Used the pocket wifi for a two week vacation across Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya. The service was consistent and fast, and the wifi lasted the entire day while charging back up to full while I was sleeping. The service was also incredibly patient and helpful; I encountered some unexpected problems while delivering the pocket wifi back after my rental period, but after communicating these issues to them, they responded with understanding and made sure I could get the pocket wifi back to them.

For my three week stay in Japan, the pocket wifi was very practical and the internet speed was super good. Even when travelling outside of Tokyo, in Osaka and even in the mountains of Nagano, the service was good! The only issues I encountered were the following : the airport kiosk closes after 6:00 pm which makes it hard to pick up especially when your flight is unexpectedly delayed. I was a bit annoyed that I paid for the pocket wifi and lost a day since I couldn’t pick it up at the airport, but the customer service was kind enough to quickly ship me a new one the day after my arrival to my apartment. The other issue is that the battery of the pocket wifi died pretty quickly even after being fully charger. Towards the end of my stay, I had to constantly charge it with the complimentary battery.

Overall, I will definitely get a pocket wifi from here for my next visit to Japan :)
