I’m a big fan of pocket wifi while on vacation, since it greatly reduces the stress of traveling. Japan wireless makes it very convenient; I order the wifi at home, receive it right at the hotel reception, and can drop it off again at the airport upon leaving. The wifi comes with charger and backup battery; I even play it safe and bring my own backup battery so one battery is always ready in my purse when when the other is charging, and I am never stranded. While I love physical maps, traveling in a country with very little language knowledge is so much easier with reliable wifi, and Japan wireless has been my go-to wifi Provider on every trip!

so far the eSIM connection is good. at first i wonder why i can't seem to connect to my phone direct, but after setting up using manual method, i'm able to connect. thanks!

Best decision we made getting this wifi unit for Japan. It meant all of us we're connected at all times, which is vital for visiting japan for the first time. Loved it! Highly recommend

I rented a router and a pocket translator for 30 days last October. Both equipment worked well with 2 comments;

Router - its battery had to be recharged after 5-6 hours of usage. The spare battery that was sent with the router was indispensable.

Pocket translator - It was really useful to translate a written text. Otherwise, Goggle Translate does for free translation of a text spoken or written on its website.

The rented pocket WiFi was of great help - when I was out & about in Japan. Was always able to keep in touch with my family. Another convenience was the “return/postage paid” envelope I received - when I first picked up the rental at Haneda Airport. Whenever I return to Japan, I’ll go back to this company!
