The wireless router worked well for me and my wife sharing a connection though it did require a battery boost before the end of the day. We arrived in Sapporo which required us to go to a delivery service booth in the Domestic side of the airport and pick up our router there. It was hard to find but we did find it and get the package from Japan Wireless. Return is easy from anywhere in Japan via postal service box. Pickup of the device is likely to be much easier in Tokyo.

We rented one for a little over two weeks. Never had an issue. Pickup was easy and return was super easy. Instructions provided was simple to understand. I would highly recommend this

The ordering process was very easy and the pick-up at the airport worked perfectly. The device itself completely fulfilled our expectations: The battery lasted easily the full day and we could connect our 4 devices to the wifi. Almost full coverage across Japan (exceptions were more rural areas in Southern Kyushu).

This was the second time I used Japan Wireless to rent a mobile hotspot. It was so easy to rent this online. I ordered the device delivered to my first hotel and was able to return it at my last hotel. The kit came with the WiFi device, charging cord and power bank. Both times that I have rented were so smooth and easy and well worth it. I plan to use this service on my next trip. I highly recommend Japan Wireless.
