Using a wirless accesspoint gave us flexability connecting several phones at the same time. Coverage was excelent and customer service with return envelope and clear instructions made it all simple and very friendly. Strongly recommend.

The Japan Wireless pocket wifi worked well for our three connected devices. One device would only connect on the LTE network, but that device didn't seem to be noticeably slower, so we were satisfied. It is a pain when people want to break off from the group as they lose their wireless connection, so I would recommend e-sims instead if you will be separating at times. That said, if you are carrier locked like we were, pocket wifi is a great choice and Japan Wireless was a seamless process from acquisition at one airport to drop off at another with a solid connection throughout our trip. They make the process easy!

In traveled for over 3 weeks to Japan with a family of 4. This service was excellent for everyone to be online - much better price than using our US carrier. They provided a battery backup unit, which was needed as the device only seemed to hold a charge for a few hours - so plugging in helped when out all day.

I’m pleased with the speed and connection of the WiFi. The return process is straightforward and I liked it too.
The only comment I want to make is that I would like to have your email which confirms that you have received the returned product from me. I suppose you did now that you sent me this request for a review, but until then, I keep checking my emails and credit card statements wondering whether the whole process has now been completed without any penalty incurred on me. I rented the premium pocket wifi from Wireless Japan. The whole experience was very smooth, from pickup to dropoff in the post. The internet worked well and never slowed down or experienced any difficulty.
I would easily choose this again!

This device was very easy to use, had unlimited service, was small and convenient to carry, easy to connect to, the only downside I found was it is a bit pricey. For 10 days in Japan you pay about $62 but to have access our entire trip without issues I would use this service again without fail.

I rented a Pocket Wifi not long ago, and I can say it was the best decision I made since my phone didn't have space for another SIM neither an E-SIM. This service works really well everywhere in Japan. Adding up, it comes with a power bank and its own charge cable. It is a really good option if you find yourself in a similar situation to mine.

We were in Japan for a couple of months and this solved our issue of going through phone data really quickly! All worked well even with several people connecting at once. The kit was delivered to our hotel at the time they advised and it was easy to drop off back at the airport
