Excellent coverage, made our stay so Kuching easier!

I deciced to use Japan Wireless for my 3-week-stay in Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto and Hiroshima. Ordering procoess was really easy. The pickup at Tokyo Haneda was really easy, too.
The pocket wifi provides 4G without any limitation.

I was skeptical about the advertising on this model, since every other company will tell you that their connect is 'unlimited' but what that means is you would have gotten fast data up until the limit you pay for, then it would slow down to a crawl, but never technically leaves you without internet.

The Premium Wifi pocker router from Japan Wireless was actually unlimited for data cap and never slowed down to an un-usable (by millennial standards) speed. I spent a lot of time downloading games on my new laptop and racked up over 100 gig in less then 3 days. I downloaded an 80 gig game in one day and got almost up to 4 mb/s download speed. Really this was a blessing as my Asahi internet was only getting set up for one day later then what I rented. Yeah the cost was pretty high but I really needed this data for when I got to my JET placement. I would recommend Japan Wireless to any JET for their first month in Japan while they get their home internet set up.

Battery could use work tho, only lasts about 8 hours so if you go on a trip and are out all day, it might not last you. The battery pack also wouldn't charge my phone when I really needed it to. Never tried using it on the pocket wifi but it's nice that they give you one anyway.

It would be more practical if the Pocket Wi-Fi came in English so that we understood the messages received on the device. Other than that it was a perfect product.

I stumbled upon this and decided to hire for my holiday. It made the holiday super awesome, and I can check maps, trains, and sync my photos to the cloud in realtime without any issues. Pick up and return was super easy too. 10/10 would do this again when I go to Japan again!

The WiFi was a Godsend. It would have been very difficult to move around the cities in Japan without it. The service was polite and prompt. The WiFi itself worked very well thanks to the clear and concise instructions.

Smooth delivery and everything worked great. Would recommend unlimited data.
