I purchased a SIM card for two weeks, with the limitation of 500 MB/day. Overall the connection worked perfectly (although I had prepared somewhat by downloading the local map earlier for usage off-line), I experienced problems only in few spaces where the 4G signal could not penetrate the thick walls around. The price was also very competitive, just with the perfect duration for me.

Overall the pocket WiFi worked well. When we picked up the unit at KIX it powered up but we could not get a stable and consistent connection to the internet. I was concerned that the unit was broken but decided to try it again on the train and thankfully it worked once we were out of the crowded airport area. Had a few more incidents where the signal dropped or stalled but recovered. This is my second time renting from Japan Wireless and will probably use their service again.
