We did run into issues finding the pickup location and the first unit we received was not charged but the friendly staff did exchange it for a fully charged unit. We needed to extend the use and there was no issues with that and the unit for our entire trip. Returning was also very easy. Rate per day was very reasonable.

I recently used Japan Wireless during my trip to Tokyo and had a very good experience. The device was easy to set up, and the pickup location was convenient and easy to find.

Returning the device was just as simple. The instructions for setup, return location, how to pack the device, and how to post it back were all clearly written in English with step-by-step guidance.

The wireless device battery life was excellent and lasted more than 24 hours, which was very convenient for daily use. Overall, the whole process was smooth and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend Japan Wireless to anyone visiting Japan.

I went with a 4G lite sim, 30GB for 30 days. I found it easy to buy online from home, and it worked really well. However because all of my accommodation had wifi, I would go with a lower amount of GB in the future. Mine was a data only sim, and so I couldn't make calls or text, but just used a wifi app, so all worked well. My husband got a Japanese sim, with a number, which was useful in a couple of places when they needed a phone number. We travelled quite widely, Tokyo and headed south, and had no problems. One thing I missed was the ability to see how much data I had left, but once I enabled my phone to keep track (in my settings) that worked well.

Great, highly recommended. I’ll use it again next time I visit Japan.
