The only issue we had was that the battery, including the back-up battery ran out of power very quickly; not even lasting the day (for both) on one of the units. The other units were good.

Pocket wifi rental from Japan Wireless was excellent -- pickup was easy, we had great coverage in both Tokyo & Nagoya and the spaces in-between, and the device itself is lightweight, compact, and held its charge all day. Drop off in the post box was easy (we did it at Haneda before going through security). Will definitely be using the next time we visit Japan!

It's a great wifi, I had kids who expected it to be able to support multiple online games which it dod struggle to do but that is not what I personally expected it to do. Checked emails, social media, youtube and podcasts absolutely fine.
Recieved a Japan wireless kit about halfway through our 2 week visit. Made a big contribution to our communications as well as sourcing maps and travel information online.
