Did my research and despite a few negative reviews, the positive YouTube videos convinced me to go with Japan Wireless. I picked up the package at the Narita Terminal 1 4th floor post office right off the plane - there was NO line and it just took a minute for the polite clerk to find my package. My family of 4 was able to connect, and it provided stable and fast connectivity between Tokyo and Kyoto for 10 days - maybe only a handful of times were there any connectivity issues. Surprisingly, via wifi calling, I even received phone calls to my Metro phone while I was in Japan! All other apps and services (including video) continued to work without interruption. Battery life was great, I only had to use the included charger once or twice when we were out for over 12 hours. The hotspot indicated I used around 35 GB total. Return was also easy, dropped it in the mail box next to the same post office where I picked it up. I paid for the insurance plan so it was a total of about $100 US, but well worth it.

The pickup service was easy and so was the return process. The Wi-Fi worked and was reliable all throughout.

This portable WiFi was very useful and easy to use during our two-week trip in Japan, including driving through the mountains of Hokkaido. We were never without cell service, which gave us great peace of mind while traveling. It was very easy to pick up at the airport when we arrived, and equally easy to drop it off at the airport when we left. Highly recommend!

No problems were encountered throughout the time that the wireless Wi-Fi equipment from Japan Wireless was used. Very reliable Wi-Fi connectivity.

Convenient, fast, excellent connection and customer service… you have to give a tracking no together with confirmation email /advice to the Post Office for pick up option… pls ensure this is clear in all emails to avoid confusion.

Was very happy with the product and the service. Very easy to use and send back. Was very invaluable in japan as we needed everywhere to use Google maps and translate.

We got the premium Wi-Fi for about 10 days and we were able to use it all across eastern and western Japan. It also came with a portable charger, but we honestly didn’t need it at all since it held charge very well. It was also delivered quickly to our hotel (next day!) and came with a return envelope, so there was no need to buy our own or fill out any labels. We will absolutely use this service again next time!

Small and compact device. Never without wifi. Delivery to the hotel and post back at airport was very easy. Highly recommend.

I moved to Japan in August and I booked a pocket wifi for 2 weeks to give me time to choose a long term wifi and internet plan. It was the perfect length and it was really convenient to drop the pocket wifi in a postbox at the end.
