From Osaka to Nara to Kyoto to Sapporo to Horonobe, in far northern Hokkaido, this bad boy rocked super strong wifi the whole way, even while moving on trains. Truly incredible.

It was the best decision of the whole road trip to Japan. The service worked seamlessly, saved us in numerous situations regarding booking accomodation via internet from one day to the other, driving with google maps navigation, etc. The delivery and drop off is more than easy and user friendly, the range almost full save for really wild mountain areas which few people venture to, the unlimited transfer priceless. The device was almost brand new, with battery in excellent shape, we did not even need to use the spare battery pack attached, it held out all day of intense use. Everything was small and handy. Price to quality ratio just great. Next time in Japan we are for sure going to buy the same service with Japan-Wireless. We are totally happy with it and we recommend it to any friends that intend to visit Japan soon.

I would include and extra cord to charge both the device and the external battery

Was perfect for using google maps to get around and for being able to have multiple people use a single point device rather than get two SIM cards. One issue we found is that it frequently can overheat and shut off. We had to air it out occasionally.

Very easy to use, was delivered earlier than expected and returning it was super simple! Would rent again.
