April 2024, 4 of us used the pocket router for 2 weeks. We traveled from Tokyo to Osaka and in between. I keep the route on me will travel and had no issues. I do recommend you keep it fully charged if possible. The only issue was the spare battery that was provided would not charge and I couldn't use it. I had the router mailed to our hotel prior to our arrival in Narita. I highly recommend it.

Our pocket wifi never failed us. It was instrumental in getting us where we needed to go and making sure we were always connected to family. It wad a great value!

During my visit to Japan in April 2024, I searched the WiFi service availability on the go.
I found this device, the ease of use and collection-Return process extremely consumer friendly.
I would use Japan wireless and recommend it any time.

Worked as it should. Came in very handy while traveling.

Pocket wifi pick up was easy to pick up and use. It was also nice because I didn't have to worry about how much data I was using especially since Google Maps uses a lot.

Great coverage and nice to have the ability to share with your group with multiple devices but not too good when one of you likes to wander and explore and they don’t have a separate eSIM/ international sim or international roaming on because they will be totally without internet unless you give them the portable wi fi and hopefully the rest of you have your own international roaming working properly or just grab some free wi fi somewhere or back to the hotel, also not so cheap from memory but it’s our first time in Japan so never really tried other options to compare to. great service though since the portable wi fi was delivered to the hotel directly so I didn’t have to line up at their pick up location and I just put the device back into their included return envelope and popped in a Japan post box at the airport before we left

Easy to use and very efficient

The Wi-fi was extremely easy to book, pick up and return. The speed was very good. However it used to get discharged quite quickly at times. Even thr spare power bank given used to get discharged quickly. Apart from these 2 issues, I really enjoyed using the pocket wi-fi
