Picked up the router at the airport and mailed it back two weeks later just before checking in to our return flight. The package contains everything we needed, router, power bank and charging-cable + socket. Also includes detailed instructions for usage and how to return.
We used it all day, everyday (family of four, two of which are teenagers) and it delivered decent speed and bandwidth always. It did not fail us once.. we brought it with us on all of our day trips and travels in western Japan stuffed away in a backpack. On a few of our longer day trips (>14h) the battery ran out and we had to use the included power bank (thoughtful that this was included) to charge while on the road.

I'm so glad I rented this for me and my husband's recent trip to Japan. It came with the additional power cell that barely needed for the pocket wifi. Don't forget to bring your iPhone lightening cable as you may find yourself frequently looking up, translating a foreign language, and sending tons of videos and photos to friends and family!

The pocket Wi-Fi I ordered through Japan wireless is always a great item to pickup while in japan. It’s very reliable and the extra battery is great to keep the Wi-Fi charged if you’re out all day and can also be used to charge your cellphones. I’ve ordered it 4 times now and will continue using it in the future.
