The little back battery needs to be either replaced or more power as it didn’t last long. The battery life of the device was just enough us, often just used the hotel usb ports.

I travel to Japan twice per year, typically staying 4–5 weeks each visit, and for the past three years I’ve consistently used Japan Wireless Premium WiFi. Simply put, the service has been outstanding.

Coverage throughout Japan has been exceptional — from Sapporo to Kagoshima — including on Shinkansen trains, subways, inside major city centers, and even in large glass hotel buildings where signals often struggle. Connection drops have been extremely rare, likely less than 1% during my combined months of use, and usually tied to temporary transit or tunnel situations.

I generally connect three devices simultaneously — my notebook computer, iPhone, and Apple Watch — and have never experienced performance or stability issues.

The delivery process is equally impressive. I always have the unit shipped directly to my hotel, and every single time it has either been waiting at the front desk or already placed in my room upon arrival. Very professional and reliable.

Returning the device is effortless. They provide a prepaid, self-addressed Japan Post return envelope. You simply drop it into any Japan Post mailbox or leave it at one of the major airports before departure.
