The signal is great. Battery life is also great.
We spent our time between Tokyo, Hakone, Okayama, Naoshima, Hiroshima and Kyoto. Everything worked very well. No hassle as long as you remember to plug it in.

It worked just great all the time, long days and even so it was enough with the extra battery.
