It made it super easy to navigate around without having to have a simcard. Easy pickup and great download speeds.

It was very convenient that the wife fi was delivered to the first hotel that I stayed at.

Simple to use! Excellent connection throughout our trip! Easy drop off to post box inside the airport for return.

After exiting customs/immigration, we simply walked down the terminal a bit to the booth where I signed for the rental and was handed a nice little package with great instructions. We were up and running before we even got into our transport vehicle. We used the WiFi day and night and always had exceptional connectivity (don't go expecting it work when you're three stories underground on the subway; even this work horse has its limitations!). Although there was free wireless around, it was not secure and was often slow. This is an absolute must, especially if you are only using data while abroad. I know that my husband and I will return to Japan again and when we do, I'll know exactly which wireless to go with. Also, there may be a coupon code around and the overall cost for 12 days was under $70. Our visit was not at a peak time which may have made the cost so reasonable. Finally, to turn in, we simply dropped the envelope in a mailbox at the airport. Couldn't have been easier.

Used the pocket wifi for 18 days in Japan. Connection was great all over, including in Okinawa. Battery lasted all day and simply recharged overnight for the next day. Pickup was a bit confusing as they moved to a new kiosk, but getting it right at the airport was very convenient!
