We rented the hotspot Wi-Fi and found its coverage great for our destinations.
We decided to put it in a mailbox prior to reaching the departure airport because as American tourist we wanted to avoid looking for a proper mailbox at the airport while also dealing with airline check in.

This is the second time I used Japan wireless and I’m very satisfied with the use of it. The only thing I’d like to mention is the direct current cord gets heated fast, maybe it should be best to check your gadgets.

Wifi signal is stable and reliable

It was easy to go to counter to pick up to wireless hot spot, I didn't have any issues. The company included an external battery as well. It was would last for most of the day, I would end up having to charge it towards the end of the day. The signal was pretty good for most of the trip! You do need to stay close if multiple people are using it, if you walk too far you'll lose connection.

They also include the mail envelope with postage to drop off easily, so you can drop it off at the airport. Make sure you do before security or at any post office outside of the airport.
