The premium wifi worked great wherever I traveled in Japan, even in the Gifu mountains and traveling around the Shimabara peninsula! No problem with the wifi losing battery, and powering came in handy for recharging my phone on the go.

The Internet speed was ok, you get 4g speed so it's enough to get you around town. Unit gets pretty hot if you keep in your pockets and the battery drains pretty fast so it's nice they provide you with a power bank.
