Had no issues connecting it with multiple devices. Very easy for pick up (Kansai airport) and return to a Japan Post mail box. Never really ran out of battery while out and about with the device.

I've used Japan Wireless many times in the last few years and I've had good service and coverage wherever I went. When travelling with two or more people, or if you bring several devices that require connection to the Internet, the WiFi service is the best solution, and probably the most cost effective as well. Only problem is when people in your party go their own ways. I connect my devices to the WiFi unit and forget about hotel wifi and free wifi zones. I pick up my Japan Wireless WiFi until at the airport I arrive at, connect my devices to it, and off we go. When leaving, just drop the WiFi device into any Japan Mail mailboxes, using the enclosed return envelope that is delivered with the unit.

Totally impressed with the ease of pick-up and drop-off, the ease of set-up and use and the coverage provided. Used the device mainly on land, but also had some coverage whilst at sea on a cruise ship (depending how far the ship was from land). Cost was very reasonable. We opted for a pocket router, which came with additional power bank / battery. It covered our 2 mobiles with ease.
Fully recommend this device and Japan Wireless.

After watching some videos online and after some recommendations .I went for pocket wifi and it as fantastic. Was travelling in group of four and was mo issue. Would definitely recommend. Was easy to collect from airport and drop off in courier supplied bag. Definitely would get again on next trip to Japan.

The airport pickup went smoothly, we had strong reception throughout our three-week trip, and returning the device via letter box at the airport was easy. Highly recommended!
