The wifi was working like a charm wherever we went and the customer service was on point.

This little pocket WiFi was amazing to have during my trip to Japan. We traveled to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima, and Tokyo over 14 days and had service everywhere and the speed was as fast as my regular phone service at home. We pre ordered it before our trip and picked the WiFi up at the post office at Kansai International Airport. When we opened the package, the WiFi came in a convenient little bag with a charger and a portable battery. All I had to do was turn it on and connect our phones and we had WiFi immediately. I was traveling with 3 other people, and all of them used their phones just like how they would at home (Google searches, social media, finding out directions, etc.). The only place we had trouble getting service was on one particular part of Mt. Misen in Miyajima (if I remember correctly), but that was no problem because we didn’t need it up there anyway. Since we left it on the whole day, we had to start charging the WiFi in the afternoon, but Japan Wireless provided a charging cord for us to use with the WiFi and a portable battery so charging was hassle free. However, I would recommend bringing your own portable battery because the charge on the portable battery they provided did not last as long as my own. They also provided us with a return mail envelope for mailing it back to them, so when we were done with our trip, I put the WiFi in the envelope and dropped it in post box at Haneda Airport and they sent me an email a couple days later confirming that they received it. Overall, I would definitely use this pocket WiFi again next time I travel to Japan. Great price and great WiFi.

Ordered for pickup at my first Hotel in Japan and it was there waiting for me. Never went out without it and it was so convenient to have. First thing to order when I return. Returned it at the airport by post. Great idea. Worth renting when visiting Japan.
