Used this for over 2 weeks in Japan. Easy to collect and drop back at the end and product worked perfectly for whole time with no issues. Highly recommend.

We used for 3 weeks without any problem at all.
We travelled from Tokyo to Kagoshima, Yakushima, then to Nagasaki, Fukuoka both by car, train and ferry etc.

I needed this while my internet at home was down, and this thing worked like a champ for my phone, my Roku (for Netflix) and my laptop all at great speeds. I had no problems whatsoever.

Rented this just two days before our actual trip and it was still delivered to our hotel even before we arrived. Connection was always stable even when we went to Fuji-san and Takao-san, and the internet speed was also consistent. Very straightforward way of returning as well (the package comes with a mailing envelope where you put everything; just seal it and drop it at the airport post before you check in for your flight), so overall, a really great experience and would definitely rent with Japan Wireless again when I go back to Japan.

The router that I rented for my stay in Japan was at the postal counter and I was able to find it quickly and activate it immediately. Using it was simple and the signal always strong,, no throttling.
Returning it was easy as dropping it off again in the package at the Narita post office.

Our pocket wifi was great on our recent trip to Japan. We just threw it in our backpack and my wife and I could use wifi wherever we were. The battery lasted all day for us. We did get a free upgrade for an extra battery pack, which we used once. I actually used the battery pack for my phone once too.
We had the pocket wifi shipped to our first hotel because our flight to Narita got in too late. It was waiting there for us and only took a few minutes to unpack and hook up. To return it, we used the supplied packing envelope and dropped it off at the post office in the Narita airport.
If I travel to Japan again, I would definitely go with Japan Wireless pocket wifi!
