This pocket wifi is a must for anyone who is planning a trip to Japan. We never had an issues with reception and having wifi everywhere we went was amazing. We had to use Google maps every single day during our endeavours around Japan. The extra power bank that came with the pocket wifi was clutch for when it was low battery. Highly recommended!!!

Having the mobile router added greatly to the enjoyment of our holiday and having access to google maps allowed us to navigate unfamiliar cities with ease and visit many sites we otherwise would not have managed to find.
We had very good WiFi coverage and I cannot remember any time we did not have WiFi access.
Being supplied with a backup battery was also a great asset.

Amazing device and service, the product was ready to pick up at the airport, i had internet everywhere I went, the battery life is pretty good if you charge it overnight. Very easy to return as well. No complaints at all and I will definitely use Japan Wireless again on my next trip!

I rented one of these through Japan Wireless for my most recent trip to Japan, as I wanted to only bring one information device, a small tablet (Google maps is your friend), and I didn't want to mess with finding a unit that would take a sim card, etc. My wife only brought a tablet as well, so the hotspot was well suited to our needs.

It also was nice not to have to keep fiddling with hooking up to the wireless in each hotel/ryokan/etc we stayed at.

Their coverage area was very good (the only dead zones we hit were a couple of spots on the trains out in the middle of nowhere), as were the data rates. About the only issue is that it would have been nice to have a longer battery life - it wouldn't last a long day of touring/evening of surfing, but Japan Wireless provided a secondary battery so that would have been no problem if I had not had a smaller one I had for the most part when the hotspot was ready to run out.

I'll order one again the next time I have to travel to Japan.

We rented a wireless device on the advice of a friend who had been to Japan the year before, and it was totally worst it!!
Absolute must have if you travel in Japan.

Retrieving it and giving it bavk from the aiport is easy as a breeze.

I hired this service from Spain. Firstly I found helpful information on the website. The package was conveniently well kept. I found it as announced. Secondly, the pickup point was easy to find and lastly, I could return it without causing me any concern.
I would strongly recommend it.

It was easy to use and return. It worked very well except when we were taking the shinkansen from Toyama to Tokyo. It was a little spotty for some reason. Worked great in every other train

I wanted an extension the customer service response was fast and very helpful.

The pick up at hotel and drop off at Hnd was very easy. The mail box to slip it into is very close ANA desk.
