Excellent service. The device itself was adequate: great connection almost everywhere, but the battery life was modest. Japan Wireless was thoughtful enough to include a power bank. Also, they let me use the device beyond my order date when I extended my stay. I will definitely use this service again.

I rented a router and a pocket translator for 30 days last October. Both equipment worked well with 2 comments;

Router - its battery had to be recharged after 5-6 hours of usage. The spare battery that was sent with the router was indispensable.

Pocket translator - It was really useful to translate a written text. Otherwise, Goggle Translate does for free translation of a text spoken or written on its website.

The rented pocket WiFi was of great help - when I was out & about in Japan. Was always able to keep in touch with my family. Another convenience was the “return/postage paid” envelope I received - when I first picked up the rental at Haneda Airport. Whenever I return to Japan, I’ll go back to this company!

Fantastic opportunity with Japan wireless. Strong signal all the way around Tokyo and Kyoto.

As far as I can tell, this wifi solution for a stay in japan of 15 days is the best choice in term of quality/price. Getting it at the airport front desk and returning it at mail boxes also in the airport is easy. Altough a battery pack was included, we almost never needed it.

I have been using Japan Wireless every single time I've visited Japan. Its easily the most convenient and cheapest option especially for groups. The option to have it delivered to your hotel or at the airport is also very convenient.

This worked well, while more expensive than a typical single data-plan SIM card it's nice if you want to have multiple devices connect to it (or just avoid dealing with SIM cards in general).
