Our hotspot worked well. Pick-up and drop-off were very easy. I recommend this option if you need a mobile hotspot while traveling in Japan.

Japan wireless was my saviour on my most recent trip to Japan. Pre-ordering the pocket wifi online was simple and quick, the pick up at Narita airport was simple and quick, and setting up the pocket wifi was also simple and quick. The device easily lasted me 8-10 hours on every charge even though I had two devices furiously playing Pokémon Go nonstop on it. The connection and download speed was always fast regardless of if I was in the heart of Akihabara or deep on a hike on Mount Kurama. I had the unfortunate situation where my flight was cancelled and I had ended up needing to stay in Japan for another week. Despite that hardship, extending my rental period with Japan Wireless took less than 2 minutes and the rate was incredibly reasonable! Returning the device was also extremely easy as they provided a return envelope at the time of rental and there are post boxes everywhere. Throughout my whole rental period, Japan Wireless made sure to keep up great communication to remind me when the date my rental period was over and they even followed up to let me know that they had successfully received my returned device. All in all it was a great experience for me. I am definitely looking forward to the next time I can become their customer again! Thank you Japan Wireless! Exceptional customer service!
