We have a cellphone plan that gives us basic data when abroad but having the premium wifi with Japan Wireless was very helpful! Everything loaded instantaneously and we were able to quickly and easily navigate and translate anything we needed to. Easy to pick up, easy to use, easy to return. Worked everywhere we went: Tokyo, Kyoto, and even up a mountain in Nagano!

We picked up the hotspot at the Narita Airport, Terminal 2 Post Office as agreed when purchasing the service online. The staff at the post office spoke perfect english, thank you very much. The unit was waiting for us and was fully charged, with a charger, charger cable and battery backup.

Connecting to the hotspot was easy using the provided instructions. There were 4 of us using the hotspot. The service coverage was excellent and the speed was incredible. It was a very good value for the price per day - will definitely use this service again.

We were connected to Internet with Japan Wireless Premium WiFi all days. Superb function. The powerbank perhaps a little weak.

We used google maps to navigate the trains around Japan as well as finding certain restaurants and shops , having constant Wi-fi was so crucial for our teenage daughter who wanted to contact her friends via WhatsApp

Pick up from Tokyo airport was relatively easy although the post office from terminal 2 at Narita has moved but the staff at the terminal guided us to the correct location

While I arguably was drawn in to purchase Japan Wireless through their online magazine, the truly unlimited data, speed, price point, and simplicity in pick-up and delivery did truly make them the best option. The small unit (half the footprint of an average smartphone) easily lasted a full 24 hours, and when coupled with the provided power bank, easily lasted a full 48 hours. We constantly had 2 phones connected, but the ability to connect multiple devices makes this a truly flexible way to connect laptops and tablets to the internet as well. No complaints about connectivity throughout Japan (even deep in mountain tunnels and subways). No complaints about speed, which easily surpassed many home/airport internet speeds. Pick-up IS simple, assuming you realize that it arrives at the post-office you choose... not at a store-front (that does not exist for Japan Wireless, at least at the locations we traveled). Drop-off can be at ANY postal box with the included shipping label and envelope. I wish you many beautiful memories of Japan and the great Japanese people as you travel using this really convenient device & service!

So glad we opted to use this pocket wifi during our two weeks in Japan. We almost used our phone company's international data plan, which would have been double the price. The speed was great and it worked everywhere we went. Didn't take up much space in my bag and the external battery helped for whenever we reached low battery. The pocket wifi never died once during our whole trip. Easy to pick up and drop back off at the airport when we were done. And Japan Wireless was very helpful when I realized I'd selected the wrong pick up date and corrected everything right away. Completely happy with my purchase.
