So at the last minute, I found out that my phone could not do an eSIM, so I had to find an alternative in this turned out to be a good alternative. If there was a time where maybe the reception wasn’t great. It allowed me to like switch and find like another network. The battery was pretty good and even with the backup battery it lasted like the whole day that I was out and it worked in different regions in areas, pretty ecstatic with the quality of service and picking it up was easy and returning it was simple as well.

For our holidays we opted for a combination of portable wifi with an esim through another provider (where we now could cope with less than 10GB each).
This service is afforable and reliable enough, especially in groups of 3 and larger where you also want to spend some relaxing time during the holidays watching a streaming service for example, where data usage tends to be higher.
As a security IT specialist I prefer to have better understanding of the wifi solution I connect with. And even though it is not 100% transparent, it is multiple factors better than connecting to public wifi access points.
The ease of delivery is also great. It was delivered at my hotel even before we arrived and returning it is just as simple with the included return envelope and explanation on how and where to post at the airport.

Tokyo Kyoto osaka excelent service. In hakone low signal.. But resseting the seevice helped a lot…
