In previous trips I had used the pocket wifi unit, now on a very short trip I selected the SIM CARD....I did not notice the difference. Great Speed, and very reliable service. I do highly recommend both.

The sim card has been delivered to my hotel before my arrival in Tokyo, as requested. It always provided a very good connection throughout my tour in Japan, also in mountains area and small towns.

I am extremely satisfied with both the product and the costumer service. I've been able to use the mobile data alla around Japan and with great service as well.
The costumer service was also very good, I had problems with picking it up at the agreed place but they were able to re-ship it (with a small fee) directly to my house in less than two days. I would definitely buy another one if I had to travel to Japan again

I believe that you must have an wifi internet connection in Japan if you want to really enjoy yourself and not get lost. Google Maps for navigating and finding great eats, and apps for train schedules, and SMS chatting with LINE or Facebook Messenger. Public free wifi is still not so good.

So, my wife and kids rented a pocket wifi, and a week later I arrived to Japan and got a SIM card for my iPhone. The pocket wifi is great for families who use multiple devices. My kids are 10 and 8, and they like to play games and watch YouTube videos on iPads. My wife and I used the wireless wifi to chat with friends, plan trips, book last minute lodging, and look up information. Japan Wireless is a great reasonable service, and they make it easy to pick up SIMs and Pocket Wifi at the airport or hotel. The Pocket Wifi you can return by mail anywhere. I was really happy with the speed, amount of data, and convenience. Thank you!! You made our trip a memorable one!

Best thing I did while visiting Japan was buying a prepaid SIM card.
Service and delivery of SIM card is quick and simple. I never had to worry about relying on free wifi hotspots and slow wifi connecitions at hotels.

I had no problems in my month in Japan using this sim card, and it was fairly easy to configure.
