The service was very good throughout our Tokyo stay.

I rented Japan Wireless WIFI for 15 days while I was in Japan. I received it from the Kansai Airport. It included the portable WIFI router, a power bank, an adapter and a cable. It comes with full charge and you can start using it right away (just scan the QR code at the back). I used two devices at a time and did not face any issue with the speed. In most of the places where I travelled I did not find any drop in connection, except one time when I hiked and there was no connection at the peak. Apart from that, very stable connection. I travelled in and around Kyoto, Osaka and Wakayama. So it was fairly decent experience. The only issue I had was a full charge in the morning will drop to 15-20% by 9pm. So don't forget to charge your router at night. For those unfortunate days when I forgot to charge at night and realized it too late, the power bank saved me from going offline. Drop off was also fairly easy. Just assemble everything and put it in the envelop which comes with the package and seal it and drop it in the mail box (any prefecture). Overall, nice experience. I would recommend it.

The delivery service was on and very convenient and the drop off instructions were easy enough to follow. The data service was strong at all times to keep me fully connected. The only negative comment would be that the service ends very early on the day to specify for return and it’s impossible to contact them for the extension. So I’d pay for an additional day past your departure so service is available until you arrive at the airport.

I love how easy it was to log on and to use. I will definitely use again in future travels.

This really was an excellent system throughout my 3 week stay in Japan. I was connected the whole time and it gave me the ability to travel, get great information on the areas and stay in contact with friends and family. As we had several people within our group the wifi was more flexible and cheaper than multiple eSIMS. Pickup was a bit hard to find in the airport but being able to post back was so easy.
