Recently spending 3.5 weeks in Japan visiing various cities and the southern islands we found our pocket WiFi service invaluable. We ran 3-4 devices regularly and didn't find any drop-outs, throttling or limited service.
The collect and return procedures were easy too, and I would recommend the Premium service to any tourist visiting more isolated parts of Japan.

Easy pick up and drop off. I did not have any problems while using the wifi. Battery lasts for the whole day. Will definitely use Japan wireless again when I get back to Japan.
