Good wifi performance.
Only issue was loss of signal when travelling to Kyoto. I managed to find a solution online using the bus wifi. It seems it is not an uncommon issue with the Huawei wifi unit. There should be a note on this and the fix in the documentation received.

We recently rented a pocket wi-fi for our 14-day vacation and the service was very convenient and reliable keeping us well connected from Miyajima to Tokyo and everywhere in between. When we arrived at our hotel, the unit was waiting for us at the front desk and when we departed, we conveniently dropped it in a postal box at the airport (in an envelope provided). I highly recommend Japan wireless and will definitely use their service again.
