This is absolutely worth it. We are not technically stupid and while there is plenty of free wifi in Japan, you can bet that when you really need it - none will be available.

The premium option was so worth it. Definitely don’t buy a SIM card. We could still send and receive normal text messages so it was very handy. Plenty of battery life too. A full day out and we still had charge.

We used Japan Wireless Pocket Wi-Fi throughout Japan for our 3 week tour. We visited Tokyo, Kanazawa, Takayama, Kyoto, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo. The wireless worked well EVERYWHERE and enabled our 5 person group to stay connected. When we made the reservation, we flipped numbers and it was not ready when we got to the airport. The team at Japan Wireless was gracious and delivered the Pocket Wi-Fi to our hotel the following morning. It was very impressive, as I assumed my careless error was going to ruin our trip. Pick up at Haneda was very easy and the Wifi connection was solid throughout our trip. Came with envelop to drop off at the Haneda, so transaction was smooth.

I used the WiFi router for more than 15 days around Japan with no problems at all (connecting 3 devices). Having a spare battery is a major plus, even if I used it only one time on a long day out. Pick up and return were super easy at Haneda airport and the price is very very competitive. It will be my first choice in my next trip to Japan

I really wholeheartely reccomend this to every traveler, public wifi is not everywhere avaiable so this is the best option, its very lightweight plus its fast!!!
Customer service was also excellent and very helpful!

Second time using Japan Wireless’ pocket wifi. Just as good as the first time a few years ago. Very easy to return and free shipment to hotel was great!

I used the pocket wifi for our 8 days trip in Japan and we had no connection issues.There was even great signal even at the top of Fushimi Inari Temple and even at Tokyo DisneySea. It was easy for me to get the gadget at the airport and hassle free when I dropped it off at the airport.
