I have traveled to Japan twice in the last year and was introduced to Japan wireless modems by a friend who used to live in Japan. I depend on this product greatly when I go and won't travel to Japan without it. The first visit to Japan I got 1 unit for my wife and I to share but found that at times when we were not together it left one of us without wifi. This trip and all future trips I will utilize 2 sets to insure both my wife and I have internet at all times even when we are not together. Had a problem picking the modem up this time because I was on a cruise and had arranged to pick it up at a post office on one of our cruise stops. Unfortunately, the day I was in port to pick up my modem the post office was closed for a National holiday which as a foreigner I wouldnt have known. Japan wireless apologized and had their vendor at the local airport hold 2 sets for me which I picked up with no problems thereafter.

The service is great but I wished there was a closer shop near the domestic departure or arrival areas.

Like my review title says, I rent from Japan Wireless every time I visit Japan. I visit every few years to see old friends from when I used to live there. The router always works like a charm. The internet speeds in Japan are incredible! Also, it's super convenient to be able to pick up the router from the airport after landing, and to drop it off at a mailbox inside the airport before heading to the gates. I was surprised that they were able to notify me that they received the router within 24 hours of me putting it into a box. I will use Japan Wireless again for my next trip if I can. Product was very good and was delivered to our hotel. Came with prepaid envelopes and was very convenient to just drop in the mail. Just booked another trip to Japan and will be using Japan wireless again. Very satisfied, highly recommended

Awesome product no issues

Rented this in Feb 2024. No issues picking up in HND airport. Connected to the pocket WiFi easily. Stayed in Shinjuku for a few days and then went to Lake Kawaguchiko for a few days. Never had an issue with connecting to WiFi. Some nights the WiFi was faster than the hotel’s WiFi. The drop off was just as simple as the pick up. Highly recommend.

Everything was easy peasy! The only regret is that I didn’t order it a day in advance.
