For convenience and peace of mind we took the priciest option, which was still very reasonable. The battery gave us a full day's use each day, and per the instructions we dropped the self-addressed, prepaid envelope into the mailbox at Tokyo airport when we returned home. Everything worked great!

Japan Wireless made renting the portable wifi easy, they had it delivered to my hotel and when leaving it was simple to drop off at the airport mail box. The price was fine and it was great having internet everywhere we went, especially in the subway. I would recommend renting from them.
