I got the prepaid data card to help with checking train times, maps, websites etc. The 500Mb limit for day is pretty generous considering this is the limit for most portable WiFi networks. It worked fine in my first SIM card slot.

My iPhone is unlocked but for some reason I couldn’t get my SIM card to work. I called customer service while I was still at the airport testing the SIM card. They offered to send me a WiFi Router instead, at no additional charge, and delivered it to my hotel in Shinjuku that same evening. Supreme customer service!

Set up instructions are clear, good signal all around except in some underground metro stations but that is expected. Recommended.

Super handy to have when travelling japan. No issues with speed. A must purchase when travelling to Japan. And was able to pick up fr Kansai Airport Post Office with no issues.

The Data sim is working great. So wonderful to be able to search while out in and about in Japan. Worked in rural Mt. Koya. I have an iPhone X and the FaceTime (and sometimes iMessage too) did not work even when on WiFi. Not sure why. I got WhatsApp and that works to call and video chat to friends in Japan and USA. Using google maps takes lots of my battery. Pick up in Kansai airport was easy and so was activation. I would recommend using this sim.

I have used the prepaid SIM Data Card of Japan Wireless several times over the last years and on different model of smartphones. I never had a problem with them: good price, easy payment method, communicative costumer service, items arrived always on time and stable connection! I absolutely reccomend Japan Wireless!

The prepaid card SIM was basically exactly what I wanted. Great price, sufficient amount of data to use social networks and for navigation and the speeds are 4G.
