It was good to continue to stay connected to the internet while travelling. It really helped us get around Japan. It was simple to sign up, easy pickup location, easy set up while we were there, and finally easy drop off location! I totally recommend this solution. I would say 90% of the time we had no issues, but sometimes when it went to 4G or 3G the internet was really slow.

Excellent coverage and still cheaper than roaming if you travel 2+

We got the unlimited plan, best decision. The wifi was reliable especially in remote areas. We had to charge the portable charger every night as we were using the wifi throughout the day. It lasted 5hrs without charging. Sometimes had to keep it in my pocket rather than in my bag to get best wifi strength as something in my bag was interfering with the wifi connection.

Device was delivered to my hotel day before I arrived in Tokyo. Hotel refused to accept I think because I wasn't yet checked in. Device was re-delivered by about midday on day I was checked in without any fuss.
Device was easy to setup and connect. Included powerbank was real bonus. We had 8 devices connected and speed was excellent everywhere. We travelled from Tokyo to Mount Fuji, across Nagano region, Shirakawa-Go, Gifu region, Kyoto, Osaka and the only time coverage was a bit patchy was at very high elevations in remote areas.
I'm very happy with the service and coverage and would recommend to anyone travelling in Japan.

After doing some research online for my study abroad trip, I decided to rent a pocket wifi with Japan Wireless. As someone who documented their trip frequently, this pocket wifi was fast and reliable while our group was out and about. It even helped when the wifi at the hotel I stayed at was very slow. The only thing that was a little complicated was the picking up/dropping off at Haneda airport, but it all worked out. Thank you Japan Wireless! When I return to Japan, I will be renting again!

It worked great! It lasted about 10 hours on average so I rarely had to use the portable charger but was glad it came with it! We used it in Tokyo, Miyajima, Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Osaka, Kyoto, and Mt Fuji. The size was nice and fit in my small purse, all the instructions were straightforward and easy. I was also able to use a coupon and get it at a good price. I definitely recommend it and will get it again next time we visit!

No issues at pick-up. Neatly packed and instructions are properly provided. One gripe is that one unit had a slow charger, making all day availability not possible.

Hi, I used Premium Wifi in May this year for 11 days when I visited Japan. It works so perfectly, we really had no issues in connecting our devices and never had any issues or problems with connectivity of internet. They delivered the wifi dongle in my hotel before i arrive. I recommend Premium Wifi to others and will use for myself whenever i visit Japan.
