Came to Japan for a two week vacation and rented the Japan Wireless Hot Spot. We used it every day and it worked very well. There was only one time I had to restart it but other than that we were connected. It was recommended to me by other travellers and I would recommend it for anyone traveling to Japan.

I traveled across the countryside and a few cities with the pocket WiFi and barely encountered any issues with connectivity or data transfers, save for maybe a brief period in a couple of isolated areas while traveling by rail. All in all, it was a great experience and I'll be sure to use Japan Wireless again when I return in the future!

We have rented the wifi device several times now and never were let down. The portable wifi is reliable, even comes with an additional power bank to carry around "just in case" and is easy to handle and use. Pickup always worked like a charm and bringing it back could be easily done by simply finding a post box (a pre-addressed envelope is provided).

Fairly light and a long battery life for constant internet usage - perfect for a two week trip!

Easy to use and very functional

A no brainer solution. We booked it online and it arrived at our hotel the next day. Easy plugged and play. Travelled for 3 weeks to various location and even remote ones on a southern island. Connectivity was pretty good. If there was any dropping, we simply re-started the unit. We kept the wifi unit util we're at our departure airport. We dropped unit at the Japan Post mailbox before security, in the returned enveloped provided. It couldn't be easier. We highly recommending it.
