This is the 2nd time we've purchased an e-sim from this provider for Japan. Easy to use, fast and reliable internet. We went on a 12 day cruise within Japan and surprised to have internet connectivity while cruising from top deck of the cruiseship so did not need to rely on the cruise wifi which was highly expensive. Highly recommended, the only thing that I wish it allowed for is personal hotspot for kids devices.
Installation was easy. Printed out the QR code at home. Connected to the Haneda airport wi-fi. Scanned the QR, updated my mobile data setting and I was connected. Data may have slowed a bit in a couple of the areas we went to in the mountains, but I don't recall ever losing connection. Used around 3 Gb in 15 days. Constant use of Google Maps, Google translate, looking up info, sharing photos, WhatsApp chatting and calling. Did not stream video, except a few local info YouTube videos. Definitely worked better than my friends pocket wi-fi.
