Very fast and super easy

We arrived in Tokyo late at night, and our WiFi was waiting for us at our hotel. It was simple to boot up and a great comfort to have instant contact with maps and local searches. We were never without fast WiFi for the 16 days of our trip. Thanks very much.

Used Japan Wireless for 16 days on trains, underground, in the cities/towns and never had an issue. The pocket WiFi was even a better signal than a hotel with a in-room WiFi. Highly recommend and will use again when we return to Japan.

Awesome!! Wouldn’t go without it

As an American visiting Japan, Verizon's TravelPass daily rate is $10/day for Japan and would have cost $140 for our 2 week trip. This solution from Japan Wireless was 12,560 yen, which at the time was $80.32. Great little pocket router. Always got a good signal. Liked the self-addressed prepaid envelope that came with it; just dropped it in a Japan Post box on the way to the airport. Definitely needed the battery pack that came with the router as the router's battery went to zero about 3-5 pm. My only complaint was that the router's screen was microscopic to read but that was a minor irritant compared to the savings. (I read about this solution in "Fodor's Essential Japan" travel guide.)
