We traveled to Tokyo for 10days and our phone company was going to charge 12UDS a day for service. I was able to get this wifi box that connected up to 5devices at one time for less than 100USD$. It never glitched and we used it everywhere for gps and trains and social media. We used WhatsApp to contact eachother in my group so it was wifi friendly and we connected about 4devices daily. Highly recommend getting the unlimited data cuz Google Translate was used hourly!

We were very happy with the pocket wifi. It was easy to pick up at Haneda, easy to use and easy to return by post. By using Wifi Calling on our phones, we could basically use our phones everywhere without any problem or extra charges.

I have rented pocket wifi from this company several times in the past and their service was always excellent, transparent, prompt and courteous. The device works as promised, although the battery life can be short and if using it on the go, it is important to bring back up battery packs. This last rental was a bit of a disappointment, as I rented the device and requested delivery all the way in Okinawa during a typhoon watch. It took 3 days to arrive, but the company anticipated that it would take 5-7 days. They were good about responding to questions and providing updates, but even 3 days can be a long time to wait while traveling. Still, they were good about offering refunds for days when I waited for the device. Returns were pretty easy with a prepaid and addressed envelope to mail the device at any post box. I chose one at the airport, which took some time to find, but I managed. In the future, I will choose this company if I am traveling on the mainland (Honshu), but may use a different company if traveling where postal delivery might take longer.
