Must have for travelling around Japan. We went to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Odawara and Hakone with absolutely no problem. Signal never dropped and the wifi-egg lasted the whole day (even on 12 hour days) with 5 or more devices using the wifi.

The wifi-egg was delivered to our hotel so we did not have to worry about having to pick it up. Dropping it off was also easy since the return envelope is included and there are post boxes everywhere.

Would definitely recommend this to everyone and use this again when I come back to Japan!

Everything was ready to be picked up at the Haneda Airport. WiFi was great, no issues. Comes with everything, especially with a back up battery.
Return was easy, drop off in the check in area at the Haneda International Airport.

The pocket wi-fi was our lifeline in Japan. Not only did it keep us connected to all of apps and web sites we depend on, but it connected us to train schedules, Google Maps, and Google Translate. The battery life was so good that we didn't need to recharge it until the end of the day (there were two of us). The backup battery it came with was a life saver as well, and we used it to recharge our phones. Don't travel in Japan without one of these if you're coming from overseas.

We rented the Premium Wi-Fi for our two week trip in Japan, and it was invaluable. We were heavily reliant on Google Maps for train schedules, and even for walking around different cities and finding our hotels. The biggest challenge we had was finding the rental counter in the airport, and that was only because I booked so last minute that the confirmation came in when I was in the air. So book more than a day ahead of time and enjoy fantastic Wi-Fi that also comes with an extra battery back for those insanely long and wonderful days spent exploring a new country.

We were pretty much very happy with our pocket wireless. We received it at the airport as soon as we landed (though QL liner booth was a little hard to find), and mailed it from the airport on our way back. We travelled all over the country with our wi-fi without any problems. We were 2 people using it for our mobile phones and occasionally for our laptops. The last 2-3 days our internet kind of slowed down because we were reaching the end of our quota. The slowing down made Google Maps work really slow and it was bit of a bummer in Tokyo. Our advice is not go too hard on watching videos with this wi-fi. It is not limitless, so use it wisely. We kind of exaggerated the video watching and I wish we didn't. Otherwise, we recommend this product.

I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and a friend recommended I get a personal WiFi from Japan Wireless. Another friend who went right before me told me she wished she'd gotten one. So I signed up for it. Couldn't have been easier! It was in my room when I arrived at my first hotel, worked flawlessly for the 2 weeks, and was dropped of at the desk at the last hotel I was at. The *only* worry was keeping it charged (which is normal and expected)! Otherwise, I had access to *good* WiFi throughout my trip, on the bus, on the train, wherever we were. Perfect!

Having visited Japan many times it is difficult to find free wi-fi when out and about. We tried the Premium Wi-Fi from Japan Wireless and it was excellent. It was delivered to our hotel and we were connected to the internet continuously throughout our trip. We had 5 devices connected and were a always able to use it to look up train timetables and search for information at anytime. You just post it back in the prepaid envelope before you leave Japan. Highly recommended.
