Rented out a pocket wifi and had no issues whatsoever. Speeds were easily fast enough for 6 people connecting. Pickup and return at the post office could not have been simpler. Japan Wireless is highly recommended!

Every time we come to Japan we rent from Japan Wireless, we’ve always been delighted with their service and value for money.

I was delighted with the service offered by Japan Wireless. The hot spot was delivered to the hotel as promised and was easy to repackage and drop in a mailbox the morning of departure. The instructions were clear and I had no trouble using it throughout Japan.

Would actually give this 4.5 stars. The device I got was not what was pictured in the sign up, but worked just as well as others I've used before. One minor nit (and the reason for the half star under 5) was that the device seemed to drop connection a couple of times for unknown reasons (besides when we went into tunnels on the bullet trains, which was expected). It wasn't constant and I couldn't find anything common between times I noticed the interruption.

Bottom line: great service, great delivery to my hotel, great connection strength. I would recommend Japan Wireless to anyone travelling to Japan that doesn't have an International phone plan/device.

Picking up the Japan Wireless Pocket Wi-Fi Modem was super easy once I found the Post Office in Terminal 2. Everything that I needed was in the envelope. I powered on the unit and had fast internet everywhere I went in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima). The speeds were was enough for me to steam video and play my games. The battery life of the unit was enough to last 6-8 hours on a full charge. Japan Wireless provides you with an auxiliary battery. Please take note that the unit gets really warm after being on all day. For the price it was super worth it :)

It's impossible to go around Japan without this indispensable object.

Practically has couverture over all Japan, recomendended for all travellers, the price in other hand is a little expensive but it worthed.

I ordered a Pocket Wi Fi from Japan Wireless before I arrived in Japan for a two week holiday. This is my first time using Japan Wireless. From beginning to end, I am happy with the service and product. Before ordering, I used the online chat to speak to a Japan Wireless consultant who spoke English well and was helpful. I compared the plan to other companies and found that Japan Wireless could send the pocket wifi to my hotel in Japan with less notice than other companies which needed at least 5 days notice. They also included a powerbank whereas another company would not include powerbank if sending to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, my pocket wifi package was waiting at reception for me. Everything was in the envelope including a prepaid envelope to return the devices. It was very easy to set up. After using for a couple of days, I found a problem with the chargine - the pocket wifi would only charge to 20%. I contacted Japan Wi-Fi and they asked us to pick up a replacement at a post office near my hotel. Actually, I would prefer them to send it to my hotel but they thought they were doing the right thing by asking us to pick up at the post office so that was OK, I didn't mind. All went well with the second pocket Wi-Fi. We did not have any problem at all. We carried it on all our trips - Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo and Hiroshima. It worked perfectly. Customer service was exemplary when we contacted them. I have recommended Japan Wireless to my friends and will use them myself again.

Traveling from another country we had delivered to a friend. It arrived on time, packaged nicely, and instructions were clear and accurate. Unit itself worked well. We left at hotel to return, using the prepaid mailing envelope. Return acknowledgement was prompt. Company was great to deal with and provided great service

We traveled around in Japan and the "premium Wifi" was a great travel companion. Great coverage and trouble free internet access.
