It is hard for me to say, how my experience could have been better. The package was waiting for me in my hotel, when I arrived, the wifi was very easy to set up, and even though I was completely jet lagged, it took me only 5 minutes.

I used the pocket wifi for my cell phone and my computer and it worked flawlessly...basically everywhere, including in the Shinkansen. I was in Fukuoka, Tokyo and Sendai...all perfect. The speed was very good and the battery lifetime was so good, that I never actually used the extra battery that was also delivered to me. Returning was also easy; just dropped it in a mailbox at Haneda Airport before going through Security.

The one thing that I had to ask for was a bill for the rental, because I used the Wifi on a business trip. However, that was easy as well and the bill arrived within a day via e-mail.

So, as I said, my experience was perfect all around.

Worked without any problems at all during 2 weeks.

Having access to information at all times was a definitely a game changer. We at dinner at a fantastic restaurant in Kyoto that we would have never of found had we not been looking around while aboard the bullet train. While certainly one does not need this device for a great trip it sure made It easy to navigate Tokyo’s trains and streets! Even had a chance to use google translate to clear up a bill mistake at a bar. Although I had an extra battery it was nice to have the one that came with the device for back up. The best part was the ease of pick up and drop off. Highly recommend!!!

Never had problem problems with the wireless for my cycling adventures around Japan. Will rent it again on next visits in Japan.
