Very good signal during all my travel good battery life too

After considering an e-SIM and a portable wifi we decided to rent a portable wifi on the Business package with insurance for our 12 day trip. We collected it from Haneda airport without any issues. Once we presented our QR code and passport we were handed the envelope with the wifi and instructions as well as a return envelope.

The wifi unit is quite small and light (smaller than the palm of my hand) and it came in a portable zip bag with a charging plug, cable and an additional power bank (also small). The bag was very thin and portable and I always carried it in my backpack without any issues. It was very easy to use and we didn´t have any connectivity issues, even on top of Mount Shigi outside Nara. On one single occasion the unit restarted itsef but it was a one off and we had no other problems or issues. The battery lasted the whole day, on average, but one day we had to plug it to the power bank so it was very handy to have it for emergencies. We had a very pleasant experience using Japan Wireless portable wifi and would really recommend it. We will definitely rent it again when we come back to Japan.

Reliable and easy to use

We went to Tokyo for 3 weeks, I had to reboot the device only once during this time, so it's very stable, the battery lasted the whole day (we were out every day from 8am to 10pm or so), I never got to use the provided power bank, next year I'm going to use this service again, thanks!!

Worked perfectly. Charge lasts from morning to evening, but at the end of the day it's almost 0%, so better to take with you the provided power bank (it is not that powerfull so don't relay on it to charge also smartphones)
