We used pocket wifi for 15 consecutive days, had 0 issues with it during that time. I was pleasantly surprised with the speed, we didn't try streaming anything but web searches and email were snappy and coverage was great. No issues in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Takayama, Hiroshima, or Osaka.

Very good experience

I’m so glad I rented the portable Wi-Fi from Japan Wireless. It worked well and saved us a lot of money on international roaming charges. The best part was that they shipped it to our hotel and it was waiting when we arrived. If I ever get back to Japan, I will use Japan Wireless again.

We had a great time during our trip to osaka, kyoto and nara using the pocket wifi

I received a premium wifi unit, delivered to my hotel, after my original standard unit suffered a fault and wouldn't power on. The premium unit was easily able to support three connected devices at the same time, and the download speeds were impressive. I also liked the battery life - I didn't have to use the provided power bank to recharge it at all.
If I need pocket wifi again in the future, I will definitely choose the premium option !

We went to Tokyo, Hakone and Osaka with this device and the coverage did not drop once on our journey across Japan. The wifi speed was great, and it saved us many times by allowing us to google maps our way through unfamiliar streets and navigating the Japanese train lines. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting.

A small word of advice for buyers - make sure to switch it off when not needed / not being used if visiting Japan in the summer. I found the box would get very hot if left online and worried about it overheating. It's so quick to turn on, it saves you the worry (and the battery!) if you just turn it off when it's not needed.

Great packet wifi and battery pack for our travels in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Only issue was the connection wire from battery to wifi kept slipping out during travel. Price was very good with 25% discount
